Self Care and Bucket List
Most of us have a bucket list. Some include adventures, travel with family and friends and some are for yourself. I didn’t think about having a bucket list until I was probably in my 30’s. As I got older and started to really focus on mindset and self-care then I decided to dream up all the amazing experiences that I wanted to have. Self-care has become really important to me over the last few years and sharing with others how important it is. Part of my self-care is dreaming big and not limiting myself to who I want to become or where I want to go.

Do you focus on self care, have you even thought about it or know what works best for you?
Make sure to take time for yourself.
If you are taking care of you then you can be at your best to give to others. Giving your best to those you love includes giving the best to yourself.
Life may not always be easy but living a life worth having helps through the good and tough times. Even when I am upset or dealing with a situation I work on positive thinking as it can change so much. Having passions and goals to me helps us move forward even on the bad days.
My bucket list is not just a list but my imagination of dreams in list form. My list consist of a variety of trips, memories I want to have with my family and business goals. Your list can be anything you desire. It can be big or small, include others or not.
What ideas have you been thinking about wanting to do or put on your “bucket list”? Do you want to go to a new country over the summer, learn a new language, build a new business or spend time with someone you have been missing? There are no limits.

A few places on my bucket list include:
*Ireland (Completed November 2018) Check out this resource, I loved this book because I am a crazy person when it comes to research. This book was fantastic. I marked pages and carried it the whole trip Rick Steves Ireland 2019
*Scotland (Completed November 2018) Check out Rick Steves Scotland so many great places to explore in Scotland and fun activities. I hope to go back one day.
*Alaska (Completed June 2015 and 2017) We did a Carnival cruise twice to Alaska. My whole family loved both trips. We saw and did so much, whales, orcas, climbed cliffs, ziplined through the forest and even more. One thing I highly recommend is a good set of binoculars. Check these out. Do you have a bucket list?
Have you started checking experiences and dreams off your list?
Some of these are easier than others but all worth pursuing. Our only limits are what we put on ourselves. Now I know what your thinking. Most of these are expensive and may not be possible or may even be silly to some but I decided I am not going to limit my dreams and imagination. Once I do that then I run the risk of not wanting to pursue even the small and easy things. I really enjoy having a big goal, something to strive for and something that makes me want to work harder.
“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style”
― Maya Angelou
Think of all of the possibilities if we strive to have a life that thrives. I don’t want to wake up in 50 years and look back on my life and think of all the things I missed because I didn’t give it a shot or take time to enjoy experiences. I want to have a life by design. It doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s or follow a specific path.
What about you? What makes you wake up daily excited to get your day started?
Are you taking the time to enjoy the small thrills in life while striving for the big adventures?
Do you spend time with people who want to lift you up and cheer you on to your passions?
Now I don’t want to just thrive to complete things on my bucket list, those goals are just added benefits of living a life I love. Coming up with ideas and going on adventures with my family, friends and even alone make me happy.
Love the life your living, you only have one.
